For many brides-to-be, choosing their wedding photographer is one of the most stressful parts of the wedding planning process. The photographer’s lens will capture all of the details of the big day, and the images they snap will help you remember your ceremony and reception for years to come.
However, it can be anxiety-inducing to gather the whole wedding party together and pose for pictures between exchanging vows and heading toward the celebration.
One way that some couples have chosen to sidestep the problem is by having their wedding photos taken on the day after the ceremony.
Scheduling the shoot for the day after the wedding works well for two reasons – it allows couples to devote all of their attention to what’s happening around them on their wedding day, and may also produce better pictures, because the newlyweds will be able to squeeze in more than a few minutes to snap the perfect shot.
Some photographers specialize in leisurely wedding photo shoots and unique locations, like a natural setting outside or a beautiful public spot, so make sure to screen a few when trying to settle on the right one for you.
