While many people are looking forward to the numerous bashes thrown over LaborDay weekend, those lucky enough to live in the Miami area have a fun event to plan for before the September holiday. According to The Miami Herald, a local club will be hosting a wine-tasting party.
The event will feature appearances from bonafide oenophiles Michael Green, former wine and spirits consultant at Gourmet magazine, and Andrew Levine. The affair will include delicious hors d’oeuvres and, of course, countless bottles of wine.
If you are trying to come up with some great cocktail party ideas, why not host a wine-tasting shindig? While the scope may seem rather specific, your guests are sure to have a blast.
Contact local wineries to purchase a variety of vintages, and ask them to teach you a bit about each bottle. You can pass the information along to partygoers as you impress them with your knowledge.
You’ll also want to find out which specialty foods pair best with each wine. Remember to stock up on extra glasses and napkins, as guests will want to sample as much food and drink as possible!
