While many Labor Day fiestas revolve around an outdoor barbecue, Faith & Whiskey, a Chicago bar, has decided to throw a large cocktail party with a fun theme – bridesmaid dresses.

According to BroadwayWorld.com, the event will celebrate women who don an old bridesmaid gown, as the bar will offer a special cocktail party menu and guests can participate in contests to win gift certificates and prizes.

In addition to delicious drinks and games, a DJ will be spinning popular wedding tunes, and the venue will be playing bridesmaids-themed movies, like 27 Dresses, on different screens around the party space.

A bridesmaid dress bash is a great theme for women who are trying to come up with a fun cocktail party idea. Women can wear their favorite former ensemble as they sip delicious beverages and mingle with friends. Organize games that involve the formal frocks, such as a contest for the wackiest outfit or best (fake) maid-of-honor speech.

Men can join the fun as well, though it may take a bit more creativity. Ask male partygoers to don the wildest tuxedo they can assemble – from multi-colored suit jackets to sequined bow-ties.
