Earlier this week, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars attended the Los Angeles County
Museum of Art’s masquerade gala. Vogue.com reports that Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, James Franco, Marisa Tomei and Olivia Wilde attended the event, which included a sit-down dinner and an after-party that featured a surprise performance by Christina Aguilera.
According to the news source, the dinner party boasted a performance by the John Burroughs High School Powerhouse/Chamber Choir, with each member dressed in period costume.
Those planning a dinner party or a cocktail soiree should consider hiring musicians to perform throughout the night, as live music will instantly make the party space more festive and celebratory.
However, individuals should consider the theme of the night before selecting a musical act. Disc jockeys can spin a mix of the most current music and may be ideal for a younger, more casual crowd, while bands and orchestras may be more suited for an elegant and swanky affair.
Because planning a dinner party can be overwhelming, ask friends to help organize the event. Ask them to contact local musicians and audition the talent before the gathering.
