Hosting a surprise party is a great way to show your loved one that you care. And, with a bit of thought and some simple party planning tricks, throwing the secret bash will be almost as fun as the party itself.
While the party planning falls on your shoulders, remember that this party is for someone else. Take some time to consider your pal’s likes and dislikes. Come up with a menu of his or her favorite dishes, drinks and desserts.
When sending out invites, make sure to stress that the gathering is, in fact, a surprise. Instruct guests to keep all of the information a secret, and ask them not to broadcast the event details through social networking sites or mass texts – you never know who might be reading the messages.
There will undoubtedly be a lot to get done, so ask a few mutual friends to help with the party planning. Put one volunteer in charge of the music and another in charge of party supplies. With a few extra hands, you’ll be able to concentrate on pulling together an amazing shindig your friend is sure to love.
