EventNow reports Tom Cruise honored at Friars Club that took place last night in New York City and it was a great event.
The actor was not only in New York City because of the award ceremony but also because he is a filming his new movie, so he took time out of his very busy schedule and his filming and attended this award ceremony as he was given a very special honor.
The event took place at The Waldorf Astoria and guests like guest of honor Tom Cruise who was escorted by his daughter Suri Cruise as his wife is in China for business, Alec Baldwin, Cuba Gooding Jr., Kevin Pollak, etc. and many others walked the red carpet and posed for their pictures to be taken by the photographers that were onsite to capture their arrival.
The guests got to enjoy delicious cocktails as well as an amazing selection of appetizers that the bartending staff and catering staff had prepared and the wait staff was doing an amazing job passing them around and making sure that everyone was enjoying the festivities.
During the sit down dinner the award ceremony took place. Tom Cruise was presented with his award by his friends Alec Baldwin, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Kevin Pollak. Another famous celebrity, Jerry Lewis was supposed to appear and present Tom Cruise with his award but earlier he collapsed and needed to be rushed to the hospital for observation. The remainder of his friends all of them hit the stage and had something special to say about the guest of honor while he was presented with his award.
Congrats to Tom Cruise on his Entertainment Icon Award. This was a great honor and it is great to see actors awarded for their amazing efforts that they do in the entertainment business.
