EventNow reports Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 86^th birthday this past weekend but the official birthday celebrations will not place until later this year and most specifically in the month of June.

Queen Elizabeth II who this year will also be celebrating her 60^th anniversary in ruling England, just over the weekend she celebrated her 86^th birthday and the birthday celebrations were kept to a minimal and with just close family attending.

So how did the Queen of England celebrate her 86^th birthday? Well for starters, the birthday festivities started at Windsor Castle, where the honorary royal family member, was presented with a 21 gun salute in honor of her special day. Then her closest family and friends attended a luncheon in her honor that was simple but elegant, for all of the guests attending and also wanting more while they are expecting the birthday festivities later this year.

So in conjunction with all of the touring the Queen along with the other royal family members, in various parts of the world and attending festivities for the Queen’s Jubilee anniversary, which is her 60^th anniversary, since she got the throne of England, there is time to plan some small and intimate family birthday celebrations and also a huge celebration in June for her birthday and for the Jubilee anniversary celebrations which will continue throughout the year.
