GLAMOUR’S PARTY- AMAZING WOMEN OF 2010

EventNow reports Glamour’s Amazing Women of 2010 Event. Glamour just celebrated their 20th anniversary of Honoring  Amazing Women of 2010 which took place at Carnegie Hall. They were honoring the women for their amazing work throughout their year, as philanthropists, young rockstars,  politicians, etc.

Among those that were accepting the awards, were some well known celebrities and already recognized in the past for their amazing work and being fantastic role models. Here are some of the award winning women and their recognition:

Julia Roberts who has been honored in the past for her career achievements, has been an Academy Award winner and nominee for her endless work, was recognized for being an ambassador for children with terminal illnesses.

Queen Rania of Jordan who is a modern age queen, where keeps up with the modern technology by blogging and using You Tube, was recognized for helping young women to be educated around the world.

The more exciting part of the night was honoring real women, who are not celebrities, politicians, etc. These are young adults who stood up for the rights and made a difference.

Last but definitely not least, after 45 years, Cher was awarded the Lifetime Award who is in the process of building a school in Kenya and is raising money for disabled veterans to help them recreate their lives after war.
