EventNow reports Dorrian’s 50th Anniversary Celebration that took place in New York City a couple of nights ago. Here is a little history of how this all happened. James Dorrian established this bar in 1960, in the Upper East Side, when he migrated here from Ireland. It’s been passed down generations and it’s currently run by the grandson of James Dorrian, Jimmy.
The festivities were memorable. Guests went down memory lane. The drinks were being created non-stop by the bartenders based on the guests requests, as well as making some of their own creations to honor the bars past years. The DJ’s on-staff were creating and playing music from all eras for the guests to relax and start some dancing.
This bar is so iconic. It’s been known for a couple of episodes of Gossip Girl to be filmed there, as well as the hanging spot for some of the Yankee players.
Let’s wish them a Happy 50th Anniversary and many more to come.
