EventNow reports country singer Chely Wright ties the knot to her longtime love, Lauren Blitzer. Chely Wright who came out last year and later in the year she announced her engagement.
Chely and Lauren has been together a couple of years and just recently came out. Now that same sex marriage is legal are several states, the couple decided to host their wedding this past weekend for 200 of their closest family and friends.
The nuptials took place in Connecticut at Lauren’s aunt’s home. Since religion is an important part in their lives they decided to include a priest since Chely is a Christian and a Rabbi since Lauren is Jewish to be part of their nuptials and offer them a blessing on their special day. Both of them looked so happy. They both chose to wear a wedding dress and they looked beautiful in them, but they decided not to wear a veil and just leave their hair as is beautifully styled and nothing added to it.
The reception was great as well. Chely is a vegan but that was the food of choice for the guests. They opted for a BBQ theme wedding and they had the food catered from a well-known New York City restaurant, New York Blue Smoke did the catering of the event. The music was amazing and very entertaining for everyone. The music selection was being done by a DJ and not a band. The happy couple wanted to go that route and have a casual look. All the guests were dancing and having a good time.
