EventNow reports the 23^rd Annual GLADD Media Awards that took place the other night in New York City and wow what a night that was.

The venue that hosted the event is no other than the Marriott Marquis which is the heart of Times Square and known for the home for many award ceremonies and receptions.

Guests like Dakota Fanning, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, Wendy Williams, Padma Lakshmi, Tracey Gold, Harvey Weinstein, John Stamos, Russell Simmons, La La Anthony, Victor Voronov, Johnny Weir, Ted Allen, Carson Kressley, Bernadette Peters, Katherine Lee, Cheyenne Jackson, Megan Hilty who plays Marilyn Monroe on the hit TV series Smash, etc. and many others walked the red carpet and posed for their pictures to be taken by the onsite photographers and giving interviews to the reporters there.

As the guests entered the venue, they were greeted with various cocktails that the onsite bartending staff was preparing according to their liking and they were mingling and enjoying the appetizers and later on the amazing sit down dinner that the onsite catering staff had prepared for them.

The night was full of surprises. There were many awards handed out and many presenters who hit the stage had a couple of surprises. Some presenters like Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera promised to kiss the highest bidders.

It was a great night for an amazing organization. We look forward every year to this award ceremony.
