EventNow reports 2012 Tony Awards best moments and all the celebrations that took place last night in New York City and let’s just say that is was a musical fest and party celebration. So how did it all go down? Well just take a moment and sit back and relax and we will give you all the details about last night’s award ceremony.
The Beacon Theatre was the home of the award ceremony. Guests like Neil Patrick Harris who was also the host of the night and let’s just say that he did an amazing job as he has done the past couple of years in his special role, Judith Light, Hugh Jackman along with his wife, Bernadette Peters, Ricky Martin who is currently starring in Evita, Amanda Seyfried, Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, etc. and many others walked the red carpet and posed for their pictures to be taken by the onsite photographers.
Once they entered the theatre they were shown to their designated seats and waited very patiently for curtain time. Once that time came, nobody was disappointed. It was an amazing event. From the presenter who was singing, dancing, and from the crews from various musicals showing bits and pieces from their show and making you want to go and get your tickets to go and see the show on Broadway.
The best part of the night was when Hugh Jackman’s wife took the stage to present a special award to her husband Hugh Jackman who is no stranger on Broadway stage and it was a well-deserved honor. Hugh accepted the award and also commented how honored he was for his wife to present as she doesn’t like to speak in public.
After all that was said and done and all the awards were given out, there were several after parties hosted to celebrate the win and the nominations of all the amazing show that are currently on Broadway. Congrats to all the winner and nominees and hurry to get your ticket to see the show.
