2012 Daytime Emmy Awards

By Hillary Mullen – June 25, 2012

EventNow reports 2012 daytime Emmy awards that took place over the weekend and it was a great event with many soap stars, daytime show hosts, etc. all getting under one roof and celebrating the nominations and awards for all the shows that are on national TV from 2am through 6pm.

The venue that hosted this event was the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel, which is the home for many awards shows and after parties, so it’s no surprise that this location was selected for this event.

Guests like Lisa Rinna, Tiffany Coyne, Melody Thomas Scott, Sharon Case, Rachel Ray, Bobby Flay, Alicia Minshew, Bethenny Frankel, Kristian Alfonso, Julie Chen, Giada De Laurentis, Laura Wright, Rebecca Herbst, Andrienne Frantz, Lindsay Bushman, Camila Banus, Suzanne Rogers, Molly Burnett, Diedre Hall, Heather Tom, etc. and many others walked the red carpet and posed for their pictures to be taken by the photographers who were onsite to capture their arrival. Let’s just say that each and every one of them looked amazing in their couture gowns and tuxedos.

Guests found their seats and were waiting anxiously for the awards ceremony to start and put an end to their nervousness for all the nominees. Hosts of the night were Anderson Cooper and the amazing Oscar the Grouch a sesame street favorite character. The guests were sitting at the edge of their seat as they were waiting patiently but yet very anxiously for their turn to come and see if they are a winner. To us all the nominees were winners to us. How can you pick a favorite when you have all that talent?

Everyone was enjoying cocktails and many other beverages that the bartending staff had made sure that everything was each and every table. The catering staff had prepared an amazing sit down dinner for all the guests to enjoy as the festivities were well on their way and to celebrate the guest’s winnings and nominations. It’s an amazing event with many parties and celebrations. During the event there was a special honor for the two most long running daytime soap operas that earlier this year went off air and we are talking about All My Children and One Life To Live. Great tribute to both shows!

Congrats to all the nominees and winners that took place at this special event. We cannot wait for the primetime Emmy awards and all the award ceremonies that will be taking place within the next couple of months.
